Italian prosecutors have requested a global arrest warrant for former Real Madrid and Manchester City star, Robinho after he was sentenced to 9 years in prison for rape.
The arrest warrant was triggered after the Court of Cassation in Rome rejected an attraction towards the conviction from Robinho’s buddy and previous teammate in January.
It is noteworthy that Robinho was convicted of rape in 2017 following a 2013 incident, with a nine-year jail sentence handed to him by the courtroom.
Although the previous participant has continued to reject claims that he took half in a gang rape of a 22-year-old Albanian girl on the Sio Cafe nightclub in Milan, the Italian justice system needs him extradited to face the sentence.
