Schools to Reopen: PTF on COVID-19 Have Given the Following Options

Due to the day to day increase in the number cases of covid_19, schools have been kept close since March to this date.

The break is already becoming a threat to the academic calendar.

We have already spent Two months of the third term if schools had resumed on the normal schedule. Therefore, there would be much pressure on teachers and the students.

As a result, the Presidential Task Force on covid_19 have resolved with the following options for schools to resume :

1. Third term to be cancelled, and instruct schools to use first and second terms results to promote students to there various classes respectively.

2. Third term may commence in September and end in early December, 2020, whereas first term for the 2020/2021 academic session will commence in January, 2021.

And the session will terminate in December, 2021. However, final year students who are about to take their exams may be allowed to sit for their various exams shortly from now.

Note: it is either option One or option two. What is your opinion?
